Anti-Fog Films

Condensation is the enemy of chilled food-to-go. Water droplets form on standard films, obscuring the product and making it look less appealing. That filled roll or salad bowl might taste perfect, but if customers can’t see it clearly through the packaging, it’s not getting picked.

Anti-fog films solve this. The surface treatment causes moisture to spread into a thin transparent layer rather than forming droplets. Your sandwiches and salads stay visible throughout their shelf life - in the chiller cabinet, on the meal deal shelf, wherever the product ends up.

We supply anti-fog films for lidding applications and flow wrap. If your products go into chilled retail display, this is worth considering.

Lidding Films

From anti-fog for chilled display, we move to the films that seal trays shut. Lidding film for sandwich trays, salad bowls, sushi containers, and hot food in CPET. We supply films that seal to PP, APET, CPET, and aluminium trays.

Peelable for consumer convenience - easy-open lids that don’t require scissors or teeth. Weldable where tamper evidence matters - the seal tears the tray material if opened.

Running Proseal, Mondini, Multivac, or similar tray sealers? We can match your existing specifications or send samples for line trials. For hot food going into CPET trays, we supply ovenable lidding films rated to 200°C.

Flow Wrap Film

While lidding suits trays, many food-to-go products work better wrapped. Flow wrap film for horizontal and vertical form-fill-seal lines - baguettes, wraps, filled rolls, anything running through a flow wrapper.

We hold hundreds of tonnes of BOPP and can cut to your width specification quickly. Plain BOPP for standard applications, anti-fog BOPP for products going into chilled display, barrier laminates for extended shelf life or modified atmosphere packaging.

Barrier Films for MAP

Some food-to-go products need more than a day or two on shelf. Modified atmosphere packaging extends shelf life by replacing the air inside the pack with a protective gas mixture - reduced oxygen with increased CO2 and nitrogen. The packaging needs to maintain that atmosphere throughout the product’s life.

Standard films won’t hold a modified atmosphere. Gas permeates through, oxygen gets in, and the shelf life benefit disappears. We supply barrier laminates with the oxygen transmission rates MAP applications require.

Sandwich Bags

Not everything goes on a tray or through a flow wrapper. For sandwiches, wraps, and grab-and-go products, bags often make more sense.

Wicketted bags for high-speed bagging lines - pull one off the wicket, drop the sandwich in, seal it, next. Much faster than fishing individual bags from a pile.

Side weld bags for hand packing or lower volumes. Open top, seals on both sides. Available with euro slots for retail hanging, tear notches for easy opening, or peel-and-seal closures.

Bags with a white or black rear panel make products pop against the contrasting background - works well for premium sandwiches and wraps where visual impact matters.

The same bags work for hot food - pasties, pies, sausage rolls. Microperforated film lets steam escape while keeping the product visible in heated cabinets.

Greaseproof and Paper

Film isn’t always the answer. For hot food straight from the counter - breakfast wraps, toasties, pastries - paper often works better.

Greaseproof sheets for wrapping anything where grease resistance matters. Plain or printed with your branding.

Waxed paper where you need moisture resistance as well. Siliconised sheets for products that might stick.

What We Don’t Supply

We’re a flexible packaging manufacturer - films, bags, sheets. We don’t supply rigid packaging like CPET trays, sandwich skillets, or salad containers. We don’t produce paper bags either (the film-fronted type with paper backs).

If you need trays as well as lidding film, we can supply the film and point you toward tray suppliers we know work well with our products.

Technical Support

Not sure what barrier properties you need? It depends on your product, your distribution chain, and your target shelf life.

A sandwich with a 2-day shelf life has different packaging requirements than a MAP product targeting 10+ days. Salads behave differently to protein-heavy fillings. Hot food that gets reheated needs materials that handle the temperature.

We can advise on barrier levels, film structures for MAP, anti-fog options, ovenable films, and recyclability classifications. Four decades in flexible packaging means we’ve seen most applications - if you’re developing a new product line or troubleshooting shelf life problems, we’re happy to talk it through.
