We manufacture and supply high-barrier films for coffee and tea packaging - metallised films, EVOH laminates, and other structures that keep oxygen out and aromas in. Flow wrap film for your FFS lines, barrier films for tea, overwrap for boxes. If you’re running form-fill-seal equipment and need film that performs, we can help.

Barrier Films for Coffee

Ground coffee has dramatically more surface area than whole beans. That means faster oxidation, faster aroma loss, and a shorter window before the product tastes stale. The packaging needs to work harder.

Metallised films are the workhorse for ground coffee - the aluminium layer provides good oxygen and moisture barrier, blocks light, and helps retain volatile aromas. Metallised BOPP or metallised PET depending on your line requirements and target shelf life.

EVOH laminates offer excellent oxygen barrier while remaining transparent - useful if you want a window in the pack to show the product.

Foil laminates for maximum protection where shelf life is critical.

Flow Wrap for Ground Coffee

Flow wrap film for horizontal and vertical form-fill-seal lines packing ground coffee. Pillow packs, brick packs, whatever format your equipment produces.

We stock popular widths for quick dispatch. Barrier films, custom widths, and printed reels take 3-4 weeks. If you’re running Ilapak, Bosch, Ishida, or similar equipment, our films are compatible.

Contract packers running ground coffee for supermarket own-label, coffee brands with in-house packing, instant coffee manufacturers - if it runs through a flow wrapper or VFFS machine, we supply the film.

Tea Packaging

Tea is hygroscopic - it pulls moisture from the air. Exposed tea absorbs moisture quickly, losing flavour and going stale. Aroma compounds escape. What tasted fresh at blending arrives at the customer already compromised.

Film for loose leaf tea - Barrier films that protect loose leaf tea from moisture and preserve those volatile flavour compounds. Back seal bags for retail packs, or flow wrap film for your FFS lines. Printed with your branding.

Overwrap for boxes - Clear or printed BOPP for wrapping tea boxes, providing an additional barrier layer and tamper evidence. Gives the product that sealed, premium feel.

Flow wrap for multipacks - Film for wrapping inner pouches, tea bag multipacks, and envelope-style packaging.

Instant Coffee

Instant coffee is less demanding than fresh-roasted - no degassing, no volatile aromatics escaping. But moisture is still the enemy. Any moisture ingress causes clumping and degrades the product.

For instant coffee applications, we supply barrier films - metallised where maximum protection matters, standard BOPP where cost efficiency is the priority. Printed or plain, matched to your equipment specifications.

For variable demand or limited warehouse space, our Stock and Serve call-off arrangement means we hold your packaging and you call it off as needed. No storage fees, 24-48 hour delivery.

What We Don’t Supply

Valve bags for roasted beans - The stand-up pouches with degassing valves that specialty roasters use aren’t something we manufacture. If you’re a roaster needing valve bags for whole beans or freshly roasted ground coffee, we’re not the right supplier for that format.

For ground coffee that’s been allowed to degas before packing (typically 24-48 hours post-roast), flow wrap in high-barrier film can work well. But fresh-roasted coffee releasing CO2 needs valve bags - and that’s not us.

Sustainable Options

The coffee and tea market increasingly expects sustainable packaging. Your customers ask about it. Retailers have targets.

For many coffee and tea applications, current sustainable alternatives can’t match the barrier performance of traditional metallised or foil laminates. We can advise on what’s realistic for your products and target shelf life - sometimes the honest answer is that proven barrier materials remain the right choice.

All films are food-grade, EU 10/2011 compliant. If you’re packing for supermarkets or foodservice customers with audit requirements, we can support that.
